Pediatric Anesthesia

All anesthetic care of pediatric patients involves general anesthesia. All anesthetic care of children must use approved monitoring practices throughout the hospital. All pediatric anesthesia providers are required to have completed a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship. The continuum of mild, moderate, and deep sedation does not exist for children.
